Mehndi is a kind of body art that is used for the skin is decorated for special occasions. Mehndi is also referred to as henna. It’s mostly utilized in the subcontinent to create beautiful designs for hand feet, arms, and hands. It is made from dried leaves that are powdered from the plant henna. It is one of the oldest traditions practiced by Asians during their celebrations. There are many beautiful easy mehndi design, and I’m often confused when trying about what I would like to have with my hands. Recently, I rescued some of the most stunning mehndi designs from a long blog by Libas e Jamila.

Mehndi a Signiant Part

The most significant aspect of a wedding ceremony is Henna, and it is not complete without henna applied to the hands. Not only the bride but all women in the family unite to celebrate their joy by applying mehndi to their hands. Every person has their own personal preference of mehndi design based on their personal tastes. Some likes simple mehndi designs some prefer heavy designs. The majority of brides are tattooed with large designs, but as time passes. The current trend is of mehndi designs that are simple Brides are also wearing light and simple mehndi usually round with thick fingers.

Types of Mehndi

The earliest form of henna was the powdered kind that is mixed with water to create the form of liquid and then put on the body to add a touch of decoration. Today, we can find various types of mehndi in liquid form also known as instant mehndi needle mehndi, quick Henna, which is typically dark in hue and applied to hands using needle. This creates a stunning design that is stylish and classy.

Eid Mehndi Occasion

There are numerous occasions that cannot be complete without mehndi. Eid is among them. Chand Raat is celebrated on the night prior to the Eid. The night is considered to be one of those nights when everyone Muslim around the world is the most joyful on each street and all the bazaars are gleaming with. There are mehndi shops and Bangles everywhere. Little girls are getting mehndi done in the stalls, along with Bangles. This event is celebrated as the wedding. There is an endless stream of blessings throughout. Chand Raat is among my favorite events for me.

Dress New Clothes

I enjoy visiting the markets to watch the crowds and relish the process of preparing. Everyone is excited to dress in new clothes and enjoy the blessings that come with the event. Little girls are extremely happy to have matching bangles to their Designer Anarkali outfits. The ambience is distinct and lovely. There is a distinct feeling in the homes. The girls are always busy applying mehndi on their hands while mothers are occupied in the kitchens, preparing food for the wedding.

My Favorite Henna Style

My favouritehenna style is a basic round circle that has a simple design around it. I typically apply mehndi by myself. It is my most requested thing to do for occasions like Eid. My Chand Raat is the one who applies Henna on other people. Therefore, I don’t have much enough time to apply it to my own hands. However, I use mehndi on any circumstance, no matter if it’s three days of Eid. The custom of applying mehndi has been practiced for a long time ago. I can still recall the time that mehndi was not a cone. was used, but we would apply mehndi powder by bringing it using a finger on the hands of the others. 

Final Words

It is among the best traditions for each girl, as it’s an extremely feminine moment girls get together with their siblings, cousins and other friends. Friends also hold mehndi parties during Chand Raat and invite their friends to sleepovers or celebrations. One friend who is skilled the art of applying mehndi designs responsible for applying mehndi to everyone’s hands, and this is how the occasion is celebrated with joy, love and blessings.
